Being another colder Brisbane day and still recovering from the weekend's festivities, I decided to head down to Pane e Vino with a friend and enjoy their amazing $19 lunch special (only available on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays).
Although we hadn't booked, we were lucky enough to get a table right on lunchtime. The place was buzzing and crowded. The tables were a bit squashed together for my liking and the high ceilings and wooden floors meant that it was very difficult to engage in a conversation!

The $19 lunch menu was the definite drawcard to this restaurant and it was great to see a couple of the items on this menu labelled as gluten-free - although sadly none of the pastas! (Although I have heard that you can request gluten-free pasta). I opted on the butternut pumpkin, rocket and parmesan risotto which was smooth and creamy accompanied by a glass of wine. Totally delicious!

The table service was pretty good, although it was a definite squeeze for the staff to get between the tables!

The meals were very generous in serving size and exceptionally cheap - the $19 lunch meal allowed us a choice of risotto, pasta or salad plus a drink of our choice, including wine, beer, soft drink or coffee. This lunch menu is available between 11.30am and 5:30pm three days a week.
Value: 10/10
The restaurant was very clean, despite all the customers.
